Quarterly Fee for mandatory progress monitoring assessments/report, $100
Additional packages (e.g. summer boot camps, longer sessions, or more days) calculated as needed
Literacy Assessment and Report costs calculated on an individual basis
Notes:
Meeting twice a week is the minimum commitment to make progress
Sessions are preferred in person, but can be taught remotely on the Zoom/Whizzimo platform after completing foundational lessons, at the discretion of the tutor
Some months have more than four weeks and require additional sessions
When a session falls on a holiday, it can be rescheduled for a different day that week
Tutoring continues year round except for school holiday weeks and flexible breaks in the summer
On-site tutoring at the student's school can be arranged during the school day, if all parties are amenable
College Application Coaching:
College Application Coaching Package: $1500 for 15 customized coaching sessions (~one hour)
Package above includes initial meet-and-greet complimentary session, "on call" personalized guidance outside of sessions (texts, phone calls, emails--within reason), organizational and research time, and coach-initiated check-ins at no additional charge. After package hours are exhausted, any additional sessions needed by end of senior year are discounted 25%, $75/hour.
Hourly coaching sessions are available a la carte at $100/session, but do not include additional perks or discount described above.
Notes:
The college application coaching process typically runs from March of junior year to December of senior year, and package sessions must be used during this time frame, unless otherwise arranged.
One "get to know you" session with parents is included FIRST, free of charge, to answer preliminary questions.
Initial student session must be in person unless there is a great reason to begin remotely. After the first session, clients can use additional hours remotely (zoom or shared google docs during editing), continue to meet in person, or switch back and forth between formats.
The coach collaborates with the student/family to build a realistic college list and ensure applications are completed thoroughly, accurately and by deadlines, but this does not constitute a guarantee of admission at any college.
BILLING AND SCHEDULING Literacy intervention services are billed in advance at the beginning of the month, and are due by the 15th. College application coaching is billed at the beginning of the coaching process (typically March), and can be paid in full or divided into four equal payments, spread throughout the season. Sessions are taught at my residence, but teaching at an alternate location will be considered if requested (travel surcharge). Zoom sessions for all services can also be arranged.
CANCELLATION Cancellations initiated by the client must occur 24 hours or more before the session to be rescheduled. Rescheduling must happen within the month. If a mutually satisfactory time cannot be found, the session will be credited on the next month’s invoice. If I have to cancel a session, I will offer alternative times or the client receives full compensation. If the client cancels the session on the same day, no compensation will be offered, unless it is due to sudden onset of illness. In this case, we will split the cost of the session. I often turn down clients to schedule your space, so please try to keep appointments.
HEALTH PROTOCOL and DESCRIPTION OF WORK SPACE Sessions are offered outside in my comfortable back patio space with fresh air, shade, and clean work surfaces, or indoors, when the weather does not allow for being outside. A bathroom is available for use and handwashing. Lap blankets are available in chilly temperatures. Please do not send a student with a fever (or other obvious sickness) or if there has been close contact with illness. We all learn more when we are well!
PAYMENT Cash, check, Venmo (@Marsi-Richardson) or Zelle ([email protected]).
